We are writing stories in our Writing Folders. We keep a lot of stories in our Writing Folders. We are writing about what we did during the holiday break. First we tell the story, then we draw the picture, then we write the words. Our teacher helps us decide what to do next.

Goodbye Mrs. Forbes

Mrs. Forbes is our teacher. She reads to us and teaches us a lot of things. We like her a lot!

Mrs. Forbes is going to have a baby girl. She will not be at school anymore because she will have a baby.

We told Mrs. Forbes goodbye. We made her a goodbye shirt and gave her flowers. We love Mrs. Forbes.

We miss you Mrs. Forbes!

Airport Unit

We learned about airports and airplanes. We are being air-traffic controllers and pilots.

We are checking bags in security. The flight attendant passes out a snack. The ticket man stamps your ticket.

"Welcome to the airport!" The control tower checks the weather. The flight attendant prepares for takeoff.

"Enjoy your flight!"

Patterns

We are learning about patterns. We can make pattern frames and pattern walls.

We can make pattern cubes, pattern dots, and pattern necklaces.

We can make patterns with our friends. We can copy patterns with our friends.

We see patterns everywhere. We see patterns in colors, shapes, and even in letters!
